China's military lubricant implementation standards are not completely unified with the US military standards, and there is only a partial correspondence. Therefore, China does not have aircraft lubricants that fully meet the US military standard MIL-PRF-23699.
China's corresponding standard to MIL-PRF-23699 is GJB1263-1991, which is the technical requirement standard for turbofan engine lubricants of the Chinese military.
Overall, the performance of GJB1263-1991 is similar to that of MIL-PRF-23699, and its representative product 4050 aviation turbine lubricant is also a replica of Eastman 2380 (Esso 2380). Therefore, the lubricants of these two standards have an undeniable connection.
But MIL-PRF-23699 has a more detailed classification standard. For example, MIL-PRF-23699 is also divided into STD (standard) and HTS (high heat type) to distinguish the oil and oil technology requirements of the third-generation and fourth-generation high-thrust turbofan engines. GJB 1263-1991 corresponds to the MIL-PRF-23699 STD model, which is mainly launched for international second-generation, third-generation (fourth-generation) fighters, including the common Su-27, J-10, JF-17 fighters, as well as jet transport aircraft and helicopters.
It should be noted that China has the world's largest fleet of su-27 fighters, so China also has rich experience in the use of lubricants for Russian-made fighters and a more diverse product selection.
