8A jet engine lubricant, developed and produced by PetroChina Kunlun Lubricant, codenamed HP-8A. This product is specially developed for aviation turbojet engines and is mainly used in J-7 (F-7) fighters, Q-5 attack aircraft and early H-6 (Tu-16) bombers. At the same time, HP-8A is also mixed with HH-20 aviation piston engine lubricant as aviation turboprop engine lubricant, and is widely used in Y-7 and Y-8 series transport aircraft.

This product is made of traditional petroleum-based base oil supplemented with various additives and meets the Chinese GB 439-1990 implementation standard. Its performance is close to the same type of aviation lubricant of the US military standard MIL-L-7808, but slightly inferior in specific performance and improved on HP-8B.

HP-8A aviation jet lubricant has a history of more than half a century, and its stability and effectiveness have been fully verified. Although it is slightly inferior to the MIL-PRF-7808 series lubricant, it has been improved on the HP-8B lubricant.
